My name is Hanbi Lee,
I’m a user experience designer working and living in Toronto.

As a computer science major, I loved problem solving and learning how to use technology to ease and progress human life. Simultaneously, as an arts and humanities student, I loved studying the intricate and diverse nature of humans, how we think and approach issues in creative ways, and how we have evolved and diversified. As a UX designer, I'm constantly trying to improve my craft, welcoming feedback so I can better empathize with users and bring meaningful and creative solutions to improve our interactions with technological products.

My goal as a designer is to create thoughtful, data-driven solutions that embrace simplicity, are built with integrity, depend on interdisciplinary collaboration, and create impact.

UX Research

Despite the quick turnaround times that agency work demanded, I found research to be a key component to the success of any design. Behind every decision I make stands reason, and my reasons are backed by research. Moreover, by conductive thorough UX audits and following heuristics, I am able to identify usability issues as well as areas of improvement in any design.

Ideation

This is my favourite part of design, where I get to take all my research to a blank canvas and start formulating a solution. During this process, I try to keep my design values in mind, such as inclusivity and human-centered principles. This step is also my favourite because of the collaboration that takes place with fellow designers.

From pixel-perfect websites to immersive experiential designs, we blend innovation and aesthetics to craft solutions that not only look stunning but also drive tangible results for your business.

Design Systems

As products grow in complexity, it is essential to build and maintain an organized design system that will improve the scalability of the product and so that all team members across various disciplines are on the same page about what every part of the design looks like, down to the atomic elements.

Feedback + Iteration

What good is all this effort if it never sees the light of day? During implementation, I work closely with devs to ensure the product or feature is shipped as intended. Refinements can be made at this point, and it's also a great time to start testing the solution to gather user feedback. Rinse and repeat!
